Chelsea Handler Joins Blended
Chelsea Handler has joined the cast of Blended, which already includes Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore, and Joel McHale.
The story centers on a man (Adam Sandler) and a woman (Drew Barrymore) who, after a terrible blind date, become stuck at a family resort with the children of their previous marriages. Chelsea Handler is playing the best friend of Drew Barrymore’s character. Joel McHale also stars as Drew Barrymore’s ex-husband.
Frank Coraci is directing from a screenplay by Ivan Menchell and Clare Sera, which is currently being rewritten by Adam Sandler and Tim Herlihy.
Production will begin next week in South Africa, before shifting to Georgia.
Chelsea Handler starred in feature films This Means War and Fun Size last year, in addition to hosting the E! late-night talk show Chelsea Lately, and starring in the companion show After Lately.
